Experience OSP Engineer/OSP Field Inspector knowledgeable of RUS Form 515c specification and drawings for construction of underground, direct buried and aerial plant associated with telecommunications infrastructure of FTTT and FTTH projects. Worked on FTTH projects with companies such as NTS in Louisiana, Wilkes Telephone Company of Georgia and FTTT project in Columbia County Georgia. Experience on OSP Engineering projects for AT&T in the Dallas, Windstream in Georgia and Centurylink in Washington. Capable of reading and understanding CAD drawings, engineering routine and specific OSP construction and maintenance work orders, both distribution and feeder. Outstanding professionalism and superior customer service relations with great organizational, communication and verbal skills.

 

Major Accomplishments

·   Engineered pre-construction drawings (staking) for new construction projects.

·   Survey and design underground, aerial and buried fiber optic facilities.

·   Inspected aerial and underground copper and fiber cable along with installation of handholes. Controlled plowing and bore operations providing permissions depending on clean up status and weather related conditions.

·   Permitting, inspecting, design and re-designing of OSP infrastructure.

·   Responsible for specifying any special conditions or instructions concerning the right-of-way clearing and existing utilities on the pre-construction walk out site.

·   Overseeing railroad crossings such as R/R bores, bridge attachments and aerial crossing.

·   Worked closely with the borrowers of RUS funds and contractors to provide administrative and field support with assembly of unit’s descriptions, materials, construction, installation, drawings and permitting of plant.

·   Responsible for administering and reviewing contracted project billing. Provided logistical and technical support as a Field Engineer and Inspector for specialized projects.

·   Site Visits and gathering field notes such as pole information, measurements distance between spans.

·   Designated the placement of terminals, hubs and cables in underground, buried and aerial locations.

·   Responsible for the ongoing quality control and safety standards of outside plant construction projects, and invoice adjudication.
